Summer Reading Challenge

Dear Parents/Carers and Pupils
To celebrate the launch of Reading Eggs at Weston, we’re setting up a Super Summer Reading Challenge for all pupils. The rules are simple. Over the summer, you need to log on, complete lessons and have fun!
- Bronze Award: complete 6 lessons or more in total (1 a week)
- Silver Award: complete 12 lessons or more in total (2 a week)
- Gold Award: complete 18 lessons or more in total (3 a week)
A platinum reading award will be given out to the pupils in each key stage who completes the most lessons and reads the most books.
Key Stage 1
Pupils in Key Stage 1 will be competing in a Reading Eggs challenge. Reading Eggs will develop your child’s phonics, reading and writing.
Key Stage 2
Pupils in Key Stage 2 will be competing in a Reading Eggspress challenge. Reading Eggspress will develop your child’s comprehension.
What Next?
- All you need to do now is go to www.readingeggs.co.uk or download the Reading Eggs App from the App Store.
- Log in using your username and password.
- Select Reading Eggs (Reception-Y2) or Reading Eggspress (Y3-Y6)
- Complete your placement test if you haven’t done so already
- Start your lessons and have fun!
