Chinese New Year Celebrations

Lesson: Understanding the World

This half term we've been learning about China. We've learnt a lot about its landmarks, history and traditions. By the end of the topic, we knew a lot about China and we held a short assembly for the rest of the school. 

Back in class, we held a Chinese New Year celebration, complete with music, lion dancing and our handmade lanterns. As well as that, we tried some Chinese food and even tried using chopsticks!

At the end of the celebration, Mr Kelly gave us red envelopes and tangerines for good luck.
