Class Information

Points to remember:

The children will need to bring their water bottle, snack, reading book, spelling log and reading record into school every day.

Monday - PE  is before lunch so their PE kit must be in school.

Tuesday - Children have PE again after lunch.

Wednesday – Mathletics and Reading eggs tasks must be done.

Thursday -  Fortnightly, forest school will be in the afternoon (all children should come to school dressed appropriately for the weather and the woodland area).

Friday – PE kits can be taken home if very dirty but are to be brought back in for Monday. Children have their weekly spelling tests so spelling books have to be in school.

Regular reading is one of the most beneficial things a child can do to help themselves to make progress with their education overall. Reading a wide range of texts provides the best foundation for teachers to build on and this is why we at Weston believe that children should be reading at home every night. In Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 and 6), the children are expected to read at least 5 times per week. They are encouraged to take responsibility for their reading and to challenge themselves. A new raffle ticket system has been introduced whereby each week a child reads 5 or more times per week they get a raffle ticket to put into our drum. There will be raffle prizes at the end of half-term
