SEND Information

The Children and Families Bill underpins wider reforms to ensure all children and young people can succeed, no matter what their background. The Bill will reform the systems for adoption, looked after children, family justice and special educational needs.

The Government is transforming the system for children and young people with special educational needs (SEN), including those who are disabled, so that services consistently support the best outcomes for them.

The attached pages outline the Halton Local Offer and the school Information Report as required by the SEN Code of Practice.

At Weston Primary School we operate an 'open door' policy. Parents and carers are encouraged to speak with the class teacher about concerns they may have. They will be able to discuss additional support children are receiving. If you wish to discuss your child's needs further please contact the Head teacher or SENDCO who will be able to talk about how Weston Primary School can support children with SEND. The school's complaints policy is available below. This includes complaints around SEND and Looked after children. The policy can also be obtained through request of a paper copy from the school office. Please follow this policy if you would like to make a formal complaint. In the first instance discussions would be encouraged by the class teacher, SENDCO and Head teacher to try and resolve any issues.
