PE
What makes an effective PE student at Weston?
A hunger for trying new games, activities and skills, with a willingness to make mistakes in order to improve. A student with an ability to work successfully as an individual but also someone who contributes effectively within teams and looks to support others while developing self.
About Physical Education
Physical Education at Weston has transformed rapidly over the last 12 months. The children at Weston love their weekly PE lessons and many take part in a wide range of extra-curricular clubs, including dance, archery and golf, with many more to run throughout the school year.
September 2019 has also seen the introduction of a new, more robust PE curriculum. This is mapped out in the Long Term Plan, and it ensures coverage of knowledge and skills across a range of games, dance modules, gymnastics and Outdoor Adventurous Activities.
Our lead for Physical Education is Simon Helsby.
