Times Tables

Our Rock Star Times Table test is every Wednesday morning.  Children should be getting more done and more correct answers each week.  They will bring the sheet home each Wednesday so you can see how they got on and so that they can finish or correct those they didn't get.

Homework will be set every Friday and needs to be completed by the following Wednesday.

MATHLETICS: Children will be set  three Mathletics tasks each week.  These are linked to the new UK National Curriculum and can be played on home PC's, laptops, tablets, I-Pads and even some mobile phones.

READING EGGSPRESS: Children will usually to need to complete at least one lesson each week, although sometimes the task may vary slightly. Reading Eggspress is an online and interactive reading resource and like Mathletics, it can be played on home PC's, laptops, tablets, I-Pads and some mobile phones.

SPELLING: Approximately twelve words will be given each week for children to learn to spell correctly.  SPELLODROME GAMES WILL HELP WITH THIS!These will be tested each Wednesday in class. Children will be told their score to pass on to you at home.

READING: Children should read at least three times each week at home.  Please continue to record any comments in their Reading Record book.

School Reading books will be changed every Thursday, but reading takes place in school most days, so please ensure that your child has their reading book and Reading Record in school every day.

TIMES TABLES: A laminated tables card has been sent home with every child for them to practise their times tables.  A tables test will be completed every Wednesday and children will bring home their test for you to see.
